Why this template

Why use this planner?

For choirs, orchestras and bands that plan in seasons and want one place for rehearsals, concerts and board work.

Try it in the demo

An ensemble year has a rhythm everybody knows and nobody has written down: the first rehearsal in January, the retreat weekend, two concerts before the summer break, the kickoff in September, the Christmas concert that takes the whole autumn to prepare. The Ensemble Season Planner writes it down - the dates in the year plan, the productions on the Timeline - so the board, the conductor and the members look at the same season.

  • Five calendars: rehearsals, concerts, board, members, finance and deadlines
  • Rehearsals as the dates that matter - season start, retreat, dress rehearsals - not a bar from January to June
  • Two projects on the Timeline: the Christmas concert as a production, the concert tour from decision to departure
  • Move the concert day or the departure - every step follows
  • Share the season read-only with all members, to edit with the board

FAQ

Questions about this template

Short answers. If something is missing, write to us.

What is the Ensemble Season Planner?

A ready-made AnnuCal template for choirs, orchestras and ensembles: five calendars for rehearsal dates, concerts, board work, members and deadlines, plus two projects on the Timeline - the Christmas concert and the concert tour. You add it to your account and adapt it to your own season.

Where is the weekly rehearsal?

Not in the year plan, on purpose. Every Monday evening from January to June would be one long bar that says nothing. The planner shows the rehearsals that change something: the first one of the year, the retreat weekend, the dress rehearsal before each concert, the rehearsal weekend before Christmas.

Why is the Christmas concert a project and the spring concert not?

Because the Christmas concert is the production of the season: program in September, soloists in October, posters and tickets in November, stage on the day before. Those steps depend on each other, and the Timeline shows them in a row. The spring concert is a date with a dress rehearsal - that is what the calendar is for. Make any concert a project when it needs that kind of preparation.

How does the concert season fit into the calendar year?

The year plan shows both halves: the spring half of the running season up to the finale in June, the summer break, and from September the new season through the Christmas concert. The tour sits in the week after the finale, where the ensemble is in shape and the summer has not started yet.
