Why this template
Why use this planner?
For anyone planning a trip of a week or more with several stops - and who wants to see it next to everything else that year.
Try it in the demoThis road trip planner turns a trip into a project on the Timeline: the bookings six weeks ahead with a checklist, the car check, two days of packing, every stop as its own phase, the day you get home as a milestone. Because the stops overlap on their changeover days, you see at a glance where you check out and where you check in - and your own calendars run above the trip, so nothing at home gets lost.
- Preparation, stops and the way home as one project on the Timeline
- Every stop a phase - changeover days overlap, so check-out and check-in are visible
- A checklist for the bookings: route, accommodation, ferry, car, insurance
- Pick the departure date, and every stop moves with it
- Your own calendars run above the trip - time off, work, family

What is the Road Trip Planner?
The Road Trip Planner is a ready-made AnnuCal timeline template: a project with the bookings six weeks ahead, two days of packing, five stops as phases and the day you get home as a milestone. You pick the departure date, load it, and rename the stops to your own route.
Why do the stops overlap?
A stop runs from the day you arrive to the day you leave, like a night in a hotel. Two stops share their changeover day, so the Timeline shows them in two lanes - and you see on every changeover day where you check out and where you check in.
Can I add or remove stops?
Yes. A stop is a phase of the project: drag it to other days, add one, delete one. The template is only the starting point.
Does the trip show up in my year planner, too?
Yes. A project on the Timeline also appears in the year planner as its own bar, so the trip sits in your year next to holidays, work and family - and you see at once whether anything collides.
Is this template free?
This template is a project on the Timeline, and projects are part of Pro. Every new account starts with 30 days of Pro, so you can load it right away; after the trial, Pro is €99 a year or €12.90 a month. On Free you can still try it in the demo.
Can I customize the template?
Yes. After loading, every phase and milestone is yours to move, rename, add to or delete - and you change the project’s name and colour in its panel.
